Gestix: Minority Report for doctors

The New Scientist reports on a new tool developed in Israel which promises “a gesture-recognition system that allows surgeons to flip back and forth through radiology images, such as MRI and CT scans, by simply groping in mid-air”.

Sounds a lot like another Israeli startup, the Zcam, which I saw in Las Vegas earlier this year.

The benefits of this system is that surgeons can look at data while maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room…
