2005 Pop!Tech Speaker, Bunker Roy was recently honored at the 2006 Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford University for his inspiring work at the Barefoot College. The Skoll Foundation is dedicated to advancing systemic changes to communities around the world through social entrepreneurship.

Bunker also shared with us his recent work with semi-literate Afghan men and women to bring solar electrification to rural villages in Afghanistan. This will be the first time in Afghanistan history that three Afghan women will be trained to become barefoot solar engineers.
